GIFRecorder is a local-only macOS app. It records a region of your screen, encodes a GIF on your machine, and places the file on your clipboard. That is the entire data flow.

What the app collects

Nothing. The app has no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporter, no remote logging.

What the app sends over the network

Nothing. The app makes no network requests.

What the website collects

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for anonymous pageview counts. No cookies are set. No personal data is collected. No data is shared with third parties beyond Cloudflare's own aggregate reporting.

The watermark and gifrecorder.io

GIFs produced by the free version include a small "gifrecorder.io" badge in the corner. This is brand attribution. It contains no tracking or identifiers — just a literal text label.
